The alarm clock started buzzing at 6 am, but Coal was already awoken and in a deep thought looking at the ceiling from his California king bed. Coal was just reflecting on his meeting with the Mexican Cartel the morning before.

The meeting was intense and there were a lot of indirect threats being made against him and their Empire. Any other time he would have just brushed it off and planned his effect, but this time it felt different. His best friend Montero of 30 years was in attendance, but he never backed Coal's play or his stance against the Cartel as they had done for the past 7 years together. Instead he just remained silent and stayed behind after the meeting was over; with the excuse of smoothing things over.

Coal was freed from his thoughts as his phone started to ring.

"Hello." Coal answered as he cleared his throat.

"Good morning JaCoal. I thought you said that you were flying into Atlanta last night after your meeting out West. Diamond stayed up all night waiting on you after the two of you spoke." Shonese said with a little attitude in her voice.

"Nesey, I did get in last night, but I stayed the night at my condo so that I could think some things over before I came around my son. I didn't want to bring any of that negative energy around him." Coal replied.
